Chapter 7 Trustee's Final Report

The Chapter 7 Trustee sends the Chapter 7 Trustee's Final Report to the U.S. Trustee's office when the case is ready for asset distribution.  The U.S. Trustee's office approves the Final Report and then electronically files the Final Report with the Court, which notifies the Chapter 7 Trustee to file the Notice of Final Report. Trustee will provide service of the Notice of Final Report on all creditors.

U.S. Trustee will:

To File Electronically the Chapter 7 Final Report, Application for Compensation and Applications for Compensation of Professionals:

  1. Log into CM/ECF.

  2. Select [Bankruptcy >  Trustee/US Trustee].

  3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).

  4. Select either: [Chapter 7 Final Report or Chapter 7 Final Rpt & Application for Compensation (Without Notice)] from the event list.

  5. Select yourself (trustee) as the party filer.

  6. Browse to select the Final Report (pdf file).

    Note:  The Final Report and any Exhibits may be a single PDF; or any Exhibits may be added as an attachment to this document. The Final Report must be the first document in your PDF.

  7. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).

    Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.

Trustee Will:

To File Electronically the Notice of Final Report:

  1. Log into CM/ECF.

  2. Select [Bankruptcy > Trustee/US Trustee].

  3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).

  4. Select [Notice of Final Report] from the event list.

  5. Skip the Joint Filing screen.

  6. Select yourself (trustee) as the party filer.

  7. Enter a "y or n" if the Proof of Service is included in the notice.

  8. Browse to select the Notice of Final Report (.pdf).

  9. Last day to object defaults to 28 days.

  10. Refer to the Chapter 7 Final Report.

  11. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).
