Operating Reports

The debtor-in-possession or trustee is required to file various operating reports in all chapter 11 cases until the case is dismissed, converted to chapter 7 or 13, or a final decree is entered.  A redacted copy of the report is to be filed electronically and the original, signed report with bank statements attached is to be mailed to the Office of the United States Trustee.

Filed by Trustee or Debtor-in-Possession:

Filing Requirement:

  • Redacted Operating Report

  • Proof of Service

To File Electronically:

  1. Log into CM/ECF.

  2. Select [Bankruptcy >  Misc/Others].

  3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).

  4. Select [Operating Report] from the event list.

  5. Skip the Joint Filing screen if you are the only party filing document.  If this is a joint filing, check the box.  

  6. Select the party filer.  If the partes is not listed, click on Add/Create New Party.

    Note:  The Attorney/Party Association screen may appear.  If your party selection was correct, check the box to create an association.

  7. Browse to select the document (.pdf file).

  8. Enter filing period:  (Example:  [6/01/12 - 6/30/12]) and click [Next].

  9. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).

    Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
