Last Updated: May 31, 2012

Pursuant to Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 9037, unless the court orders otherwise,  in order to promote electronic access to case files while also protecting personal privacy and other legitimate interests, parties shall refrain from including, or shall partially redact where inclusion is necessary, the following personal data identifiers from all pleadings filed with the court, including exhibits thereto, whether filed electronically or in paper.

    1. Social Security Numbers  Only the last four digits of the social security number and taxpayer-identification number should be used;

    2. Date of Birth  Only the year of the individual's birth should be used;

    3. Names of Minor Children  Only the initials of the minor child should be used; and

    4. Financial Account Numbers  Only the last four digits of the financial account number should be used.

The responsibility for redacting these personal identifiers rests solely with counsel and the parties. The clerk will not review each pleading for redaction.
