Request for Audio Recording of Court Proceedings

Last Updated: January 2019

All courtroom proceedings in North Dakota are captured on digital audio. These recordings are the official record of courtroom proceedings and will be used by transcribers when producing transcripts. The recording system in the courtroom is ultra sensitive. Whether at a counsel table or even in the audience, all conversation will be recorded by the system.

To order a court hearing (audio only) on CD-ROM, complete and file the Audio Recording of Court Proceedings Order Form and submit with the appropriate fee.

To obtain a transcript of a court proceeding, see Procedures for Obtaining a Transcript.
