Trustee's Appointment Rejection

Periodically, a Trustee will reject a case by electronically filing an Appointment Rejection  (this must be filed 7 days of case filing; otherwise Trustee should file Trustee's Resignation).  Note: This is a text entry...no document is required.

To File Electronically:

  1. Log into CM/ECF.

  2. Select [Bankruptcy > Trustee/U.S. Trustee ].

  3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).

  4. Select [Appointment Rejection] from the event list.

  5. Select yourself (trustee) as the party filer.

  6. Select the trustee to be removed from case.

  7. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your filing.

    Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
