Notice of Abandonment filed by Trustee

Filing Requirements:

  • Notice of Abandonment with 14 days objection period. Notice is sent to all creditors.

  • Proof of Service

  • No proposed order necessary.

(Note: If Trustee wishes an order, a Motion to Abandon by Trustee must be filed).

To File Electronically:

  1. Log into CM/ECF.

  2. Select [Bankruptcy >  Trustee/U.S. Trustee] when filed by Trustee.

  3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).

  4. Select [Bankruptcy > Notices].

  5. Select [Notice of Abandonment].

  6. Select yourself (trustee) as the party filer.

  7. Enter description of "What is being Abandoned."

  8. Enter "y" or "n" whether certificate of service is included.

  9. Browse to select the Notice (PDF file).

    Note:  The notice, notice of objection period, and proof of service may be a single PDF or filed as separate documents.  The notice must be the first document in your PDF. The Proof of Service may be added as an attachment to this document.

  10. Modify the text as appropriate.

  11. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).

    Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately emailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
