• Create documents in Word and save or print directly to PDF when possible.

• If you must scan a document, set the resolution at 300 dpi (dots per inch) and use the black and white setting (not gray scale or color).

• To determine the file size of the PDF, open it in Adode Acrobat.  From the File menu, click Document Properties.
