Always add/create new party when filing a new bankruptcy case. Otherwise, if the
party you represent is not listed, select the [Add/Create New Party] button and add
the party information.
Search for the party.
Begin by searching to see whether the party is already listed in the database.
To search, enter all or part of the last or business name, and then click the [Search] button.
Search Hints:
Searching is case sensitive. (Smith, not smith)
Include punctuation. (O'Brien, Garda-Barrera)
Partial names can be entered.
Wild cards (*) are not required at the end of search strings.
Wild cards may be used before or within search strings. (*son, Gr?y)
Select a party already in the database or add a new one.
If the party is already in the database, highlight the name in the party search results,
and click the [Select name from list] button.
To add a new party to the database, click the [Create new party] button. In either
instance, the Party Information screen will be displayed.
Enter the information about the party.
For a party already in the database, fill in the party role, and enter party
text only if needed. (Party text appears after the party's name on the cover sheet of
the docket [e.g., ABC Corporation, a subsidiary of XYZ International.]
For a new party, fill in the name, party role and enter party text if needed.
Do not add address information.
Click [Submit].
To add another party, select the [Add/Create New Party] button and repeat steps 1-3.
