Motion to Strike

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If the motion is to redact (i.e., personal identifiers) use Motion to Redact (Fee Per Case) or Motion to Redact, Restrict or Replace (Fee Per Case) effective 12/1/14.

Filing Requirements:

  • Motion to Strike.

  • Notice of Motion with 14 days objection period.  Notice is sent to interested parties.

  • Proof of Service.

  • Proposed Order.  Instructions.

  1. Log into CM/ECF.

  2. Select [Adversary >  Motions].

  3. Enter the adversary case number (e.g., xx-xxxxx).

  4. Select [Strike] from the event list.

  5. Select the party filer.

  6. Enter a "y or n" if the notice and proof of service are included with the motion.

  7. Enter date served.

  8. Accept last day to object.

  9. Browse to select the Motion (PDF file).

    Note:  The Motion, Notice of Motion, and Proof of Service may be a single PDF; or the Notice, supporting documents, and Proof of Service may be added as attachments to this document. The Motion must be the first document in your PDF.

  1. Check box to Refer to existing events.  

  2. Select category, or if you cannot find document, highlight all events.

  3. Select the appropriate docket entry to which your Motion relates.

  4.  Modify docket text if appropriate.

  5. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).

    Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays, giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately emailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
