Motion to Redact

Filing Requirements:
Motion
to Redact:
The bankruptcy case
does not need to be reopened.
No notice required.
The motion MUST
identify the proposed redaction.
The motion MUST
include the docket or proof of claim number of the document
to be redacted.
The proposed redacted
document MUST
be attached to your motion. (File
the redacted document as an attachment in the motion event,
rather than including it in the motion PDF. See
step-by-step procedures.)
A single motion may
relate to more than one unredacted document.
Filing
Fee. (Redaction Fee charged per
affected case.)
Proof
of Service, if applicable.
Note: The motion must
be served on the debtor(s), debtors' attorney, Trustee, U.S.
Trustee, and any person whose private data is being redacted.
Court
will enter text order.
Log into CM/ECF.
Select [Bankruptcy>
Motions/Applications]
Enter the case number (e.g.,
xx-xxxxx).
Select
[Redact (Fee Per Case)]
from the event list.
Select
the party filer. If the party is not listed, click on .
Note: The may appear. If your party selection
was correct, check the box to create an association.
Enter
a "y or n" if proof of service is included with
the motion.
Note: The Motion and Proof of Service may be a single
PDF. The Motion must
be the first document in your PDF.
to select the
Motion (PDF file). Select the "Yes" radio button
for attachments to document (PDF file). Click Next.

On
the next screen:
Part 1) Browse
for redacted document.
Part 2) In Description box, type name of document.
Part 3) Click "Add to List".
If you have additional attachments, return to Part 1) of this
screen and repeat process. When all attachments are
added, click Next.
Select
the previously filed document this Motion , or
type in Proof of Claim Number in docket text.
Leave
Receipt field blank and click [Next]
to pay by internet or ACH.
Verify
the final docket text; if correct, click [Next]
to submit your document(s).
Note: The displays, giving you the document number. Copies
of this notice are immediately emailed to all participants
who receive electronic notification in the case.
