Reaffirmation Agreements

The Reaffirmation Agreement shall be filed no later than 60 days after the first date set for the meeting of creditors under Section 341(a) of the Code. The court may, at any time and in its discretion, enlarge the time to file a reaffirmation agreement. Rule 4008.  See Local Rule 4008-1.

Reaffirmation Agreement Cover Sheet and Reaffirmation Agreement should be filed as one PDF document.

1.            Log into CM/ECF.

2.            Select [Bankruptcy >Misc/Other].

3.            Enter the case number (e.g., xx-xxxxx).

4.            Select [Reaffirmation Agreement] or [Reaffirmation Agreement WITHOUT Atty Cert].

Note:  If Reaffirmation Agreement Cover Sheet and Reaffirmation Agreement are filed separately, file Reaffirmation Agreement first. Then file the Reaffirmation Agreement Cover Sheet under [Bankruptcy> Misc/Other> Reaffirmation Cover Sheet] and refer to the filed Reaffirmation Agreement already filed.

Note: To accurately report statistics to Congress, it is crucial that the correct event is selected.

5.            Select the party filer. If the party is not listed, click on Add/Create New Party.

Note: The Attorney/Party Association screen may appear. If your party selection was correct, check the box to create an association if appropriate.

6.            Browse to select the Reaffirmation Agreement (PDF file).

9.            Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).

Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays, giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately emailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
