Request to Receive Electronic Notice (pro se)
REQUEST TO RECEIVE ELECTRONIC NOTICE (pro se)
An individual pro se debtor may request to receive notices of electronic filing (NEFs) in cases that they are listed as a party. NEFs provide one free look of a document or audio file filed on the docket, allowing pro se debtors to stay informed about filings in their case. The debtor is encouraged to download and retain the information at the time of initial viewing. Additional access may be subject to fees required by PACER or the Bankruptcy Fee Schedule.
To receive NEFs, each debtor must complete the Request to Receive Electronic Notice form and mail or drop off the signed document at the clerk's office. The clerk's office will not accept copies and will not process any request by email.
The receipt of NEFs is not considered official service and pro se debtors will still receive mail service as required by the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and Local Rules. The Request to Receive Electronic Notice does not change or update party information on the docket. If a debtor needs to update docket information, they must do so in accordance with Local Rules and procedures.
Please note that if a pro se debtor retains counsel, the clerk’s office will discontinue NEFs to the debtor.
