Chapter 7 Filing Requirements

All petitions and schedules must be accompanied by the filing fee, or individual debtors may file an application to pay the filing fee in installments ($100 first installment payment is requested at the time of filing or within 14 days) or, apply for a fee waiver.  Filing fees paid directly by a debtor must be paid either by cash, cashier's check or money order made payable to "Clerk, U.S. Bankruptcy Court." PERSONAL CHECKS OR CREDIT CARDS FROM DEBTORS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

  • Copies of all payment advices (pay stubs) or other evidence of payment received by the debtor from an employer within 60 days before filing the petition (all but the last four digits of debtor's social security number redacted) 
Documents due within 30 days or by the date set for the Section 341 meeting of creditors, whichever is earlier:
  • Statement of Intention for Individuals Filing Under Chapter 7 (Form 108)
Documents due before the discharge can be granted: must be filed on or before 60 days from the date first set for the Section 341 meeting of creditors
